🌿 About The Thoughtful Tangle
Hi, I’m Margaret.
Paralegal-turned-mom, chaos coordinator, sensory detective, and the person who reads every Amazon review so you don’t have to.
I started The Thoughtful Tangle after years of research-fueled parenting, gear mistakes, and moments where I could either laugh or cry—so I laughed (and then cried a little in the car). I’ve been through NICU life, neurodivergent parenting, a category 5 baby registry spiral, and a spiritual experience on the operating table. So… I have thoughts.
This blog is where I share:
Products that don’t make me want to throw them in the driveway
Gifts that are both heartfelt and actually useful
Clothing my sensory-sensitive child doesn’t immediately rip off
Honest advice for neurodivergent parents who are just trying to make it out of the house with their dignity (and snacks) intact
The occasional emotional plot twist, because life is life
If you’ve ever looked at a “must-have baby item” and thought, “That’s cute, but will it survive being hurled across a minivan?” — I’m your girl.
🎯 Why I Do This
I believe in choosing things with care. I believe beautiful and functional can exist in the same object. And I believe that we don’t need more stuff—we need better stuff (especially if it comes in a soft fabric and a calming neutral tone).
I believe neurodivergent parents deserve resources that feel practical, kind, and funny.
And I believe that if you’ve made it this far into motherhood or life, you’re allowed to say:
“This is hard. But I’m still here. And I still want to make it lovely.”
Thanks for being here.
You’re not alone.
You’re not doing it wrong.
You’re just in a tangle—and it’s okay. We can laugh about it.
